My clients chartered Explorion in Greece with Captain Kostas, and the wind had other ideas about the original route. Kostas moved the week into the Saronic instead, and it worked: everything that came back from the clients afterwards was positive. He kept me in the loop the whole way and met every request with a "can do" attitude, which is exactly what you want from a captain when the forecast turns.
I put together a week aboard EXPLORION in Greece for my clients this August, sailing Athens to Athens from the 23rd to the 30th. They came to it relaxed and happy to leave the itinerary in the crew's hands, and it paid off. When they got home, Charlotte wrote to thank us for organising the holiday and said "it was a pretty special week for us all," already looking forward to the next one. A special week and talk of a return trip is exactly what I hope for every group I send away.
EXPLORION Yacht Description
Advertised by DMA Yachting, the impressive charter yacht EXPLORION is a 54 ft power catamaran. The main attractions of EXPLORION are her elegant profile and inviting socializing areas. EXPLORION spends the summer and winter season in Greece. She was delivered by the well-known ship builder Aquila in 2023. The ingenious yacht layout features 4 cozy cabins and comfortably accommodates a group of 8 guests.
EXPLORION is classified primarily as a power catamaran. The the core layout is spread out from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck features a variety of seating areas and that's where the guests spend most of their time. The immersive cabins offer unbeatable views in the morning and are located just below deck. The cabins offer designer mattrace beds and feature ensuite bathrooms. Multiple portholes supply a sunny feeling, with the option for darkness and privacy.

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a power catamaran like EXPLORION, the expected APA is 20% to 35% of the charter price (€4,200 - €7,350), making the charter cost €25,200 to €28,350. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Crew Information
Captain: Kostas Perdikaris
Captain: Konstantinos Perdikaris was born in Greece in 1993. He holds an open sea sailinglicense (advanced) from HYCA 2018, a coastal rescue degree, a pool lifeguard degree, ariver rescue certifi cation, and freediving up to 8 meters. Since 2015, he has worked as adeckhand and then as a skipper for many charter companies in Greece. He has very goodexperience sailing in the Aegean, Saronic Gulf, Sporades, and Ionian Seas. Konstantinos iseager to welcome his guests to beautiful Greece and show them the stunning islands. Inhis free time, he enjoys hiking, snowboarding, CrossFit, chess, and traveling. Konstantinosspeaks English and Greek.
Deckhand: Paris Kairis was born in Greece in 1987. He has excellent organizational andcommunication skills and possesses strong critical thinking. Back in 2013, he decided towork on day cruises in Santorini and then join luxury private yachts as a steward. He has aspeedboat driver's license. Paris is a very adaptable and fun person who guarantees hisguests an unforgettable sailing trip since he loves to entertain and understand differentcultures and personalities! He likes sailing, traveling, and professional photography.
