BROADWATER yacht is a 165.00 ft long motor yacht monohull and spends the summer in W. Med -Naples/Sicily, W. Med -Riviera/Cors/Sard., W. Med - Spain/Balearics and winter season in Caribbean Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Caribbean Leewards, Caribbean Windwards. It was built by Feadship in 2000. A refit was done in 2017. The yacht layout features 6 cabins and accommodates 12 guests. The cabin arrangement is following: 5 king cabins, 1 queen cabin, 2 pullman cabins.

The motor yacht features 2 x Caterpillar 3512b @ 750hp each 3x Northernlights 140 kw engines .

Accommodation

A beautiful and spacious Master cabin complete with office lives on the forward region of the main deck with a VIP Queen cabin accessible on the starboard side of the main deck as well. 4 lower king sized guest cabins are in the lower guest area. 2 of which convert to single beds and 2 of which have additional Pullman bunks.

MARK JONES | CAPTAIN (ROTATIONAL) | BRITISH
From Wales in the United Kingdom, Mark has been a keen sailor since the age of 7. Having been a member of the Royal National Life Boat Institute for 3 years, he gained experience in boat handling and working under pressure. Mark has worked his way up in the yachting industry since 2007, crewing on large 252ft, 200ft and 180ft yachts, acquiring much private and charter experience. He has gathered vast yacht location berth and anchorage knowledge, including, but not limited to the Black Sea, the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Adriatic Sea. Mark completed his MCA 3000gt Master license in 2016. He has been a part of the BROADWATER program since 2014 and this is his third vessel with the owner. He loves all things pertaining to the sea and will ensure that your time spent partaking in seafaring activities is thoroughly entertaining and safe. When Mark isn’t overseeing your flawless experience, you can find him at home in North Carolina with his wife, daughter and son.

BEN POLLON | CAPTAIN (ROTATIONAL) | AMERICAN
Ben grew up in the Turks and Caicos Islands and has been around the water his entire life. At a young age his family lived on a sailboat and after going shore based they continued to be avid boaters. When he eventually left the islands he immersed himself in the South Florida marine industry and took over his father’s yacht repair business in Fort Lauderdale. He then made the move to professional yachting over 11 years ago and found it to be the perfect combination of his skill set and passion for the ocean. Ben has commanded vessels of varying sizes and has a plethora of charter and navigational experience including the Cocos Islands, the Galapagos, the Marquesas Islands, Polynesia, New Zealand and Indonesia. Ben has cruised over 130,000NM and has completed 12 Atlantic crossings and 3 Pacific crossings. He always enjoys exploring new destinations and showing guests something they haven’t before seen or experienced. He is thrilled to join the BROADWATER team and provide your clients with the charter of a lifetime.

ROBERT DEMPSTER | FIRST OFFICER (ROTATIONAL) | BRITISH
Rob was born in Southampton, U.K. but grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. Soon after Rob was born in Southampton, U.K. but grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. Soon after finishing primary school in Sydney, his family moved to Singapore. Rob’s parents have always enjoyed a nomadic lifestyle by traveling the world. Rob graduated from St. Luke’s Grammar School in 2007, and spent the next three years working at Virgin Active Health Club in Sales & Operations Management. He completed a two year traineeship at the Superyacht Crew Academy in Sydney gaining both Australian (AMSA) and MCA Maritime Qualifications. He also managed the company’s Sailing Yacht Charter side of the business. While completing a gap year backpacking around the world, Rob visited some friends in Cannes, France where he discovered yachting, and joined the industry in 2012. He loves the challenge of delivering exceptional service all and doing water sport activities with the guests. Rob has a contagious, cheeky smile and will be the first one to get you amped to do activities!

MATTHEW ORCHARD | FIRST OFFICER (ROTATIONAL) | BRITISH
Matt grew up on the beaches of Cornwall, swimming and surfing from an early age. He was a life guard for 7 seasons and after school studied Economics at the University of Swansea. He spent many holidays on surf trips in some incredible places, such as Mexico, Hawaii, Indonesia, Australia, NZ, France and Spain. Matt’s love for driving boats and being in the water, combined with his desire to travel, led him to join the yachting industry at the age of 25. He did his OOW in May 2017 and is working towards his Chief Mate. Matt has his PADI open water and when he isn’t surfing, he enjoys swimming, cycling and running.

SCOTT BUTLER | CHIEF ENGINEER (ROTATIONAL) | SOUTH AFRICAN
Scott is from Durban, South Africa. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Caterpillar in South Africa and then began working on an oil rig before joining his first yacht at the age of 21. He started in the industry as a deckhand prior to transitioning into his true passion of engineering. His favorite part of his job is the challenges he is presented with and subsequently finding solutions for them. Scott recently purchased an equestrian farm in South Africa and he enjoys spending his time away there as well as free diving and spear fishing.

THEO SMIT | CHIEF ENGINEER (ROTATIONAL) | SOUTH AFRICAN
Theo was born and raised surrounded by the breathtaking natural scenery that is Cape Town, South Africa. His strong love for the outdoors landed him a position as an adventure tour guide throughout the whole of Africa, showing tourists everything from the Namib Desert to Zambia’s Victoria Falls. In 2009 Theo embarked on a new adventure on the sea and his engineering and travel skills married happily with his transition to the world of yachting. Theo has been trained by a number of the best engineers the industry has to offer and recently achieved his Chief Engineer (Y3) License. When he isn’t working (which is rare!) you can find him exploring the outdoors, hiking, watching sports and spending time with his family in South Africa.

DOMINIC ANDREW | SECOND ENGINEER | BRITISH
Dominic grew up in the South of England. Born in South West London, then moving to the New Forest at the age of 10. Due to its location on the South Coast it wasn’t long before he set his sights on the sea. Joining sailing clubs soon after arriving and enjoying kayaking at the weekends on the Solent and down Beaulieu river. Dominic grew up to study to become a Marine Engineering Officer, holding his Class 4 EOOW Unlimited license. Having trained in the Merchant Navy upon Cruise Liners and LPG Gas tankers, and undergoing relentless studies and exams, he has now embarked on a career in the yachting world and is excited to be a part of the Broadwater Team.

GJORGI MITEV | CHEF | MACEDONIAN
Chef Gjorji was born and raised in Macedonia where his passion for all things food began. He studied Food Science and Technology and apprenticed in some of Macedonia’s finest hotels after which he opened his own restaurant at the young age of 20 years old. Gjorgi then moved to St.Maarten where he met his wife and had a baby. During this time in St. Maarten, after being exposed to the industry in this yachting town and having a Brother who was already working on yachts, Chef Gjorgi began his career as a yacht chef.
During his 8 year yachting career, he has continuously explored various cuisines while working alongside some amazing chefs in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Chef Gjorgi has served elite clientele both on land and on luxury sailing and motor yachts. REBECCA KEARL | CHIEF STEWARDESS (ROTATIONAL) | AMERICAN
Rebecca was born and raised in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Colorado, Boulder and spent four years after university living and working in Argentina. Rebecca interned at the US Embassy in Buenos Aires in the Press and Events Department, as well as carried out a number of Personal Assistant roles during her time with the State Department. She moved back to the US five years ago to pursue a career in private service and attended Butler School in Denver with the intention of going into estate management, however, she was intrigued by the yachting industry and decided to try her hand at private service by sea. This is her tenth season in the industry and Rebecca’s outgoing personality, passion for service and love of travel keeps her enthusiasm for her job in full bloom. Rebecca is committed to exceeding guests’ expectations while enjoying all of the unique experiences, opportunities and challenges that the yachting industry has to offer. Her hobbies include learning languages, exercising, yoga, skateboarding, basketball and real estate.

LEIGH-ANNE CAWOOD | CHIEF STEWARDESS (ROTATIONAL) | SOUTH AFRICAN
Leigh-Anne is from Johannesburg, South Africa. She completed her Honors degree at University in Hospitality & Event Management where she gained a thorough knowledge of customer service, management, housekeeping and laundry skills which prepared her well for her venture in yachting. She has been with Broadwater from the very beginning and has worked her way to Chief Stewardess. Prior to yachting, Leigh-Anne was employed with a leading luxury tour operating company and during her time there her desire for travel and work increased immensely, hence securing her desire to set out for the USA and secure a position on a motor yacht as a Stewardess. Leigh-Anne loves to hike, travel and has a great love for the outdoors.

GAYLAINE QUACH | THIRD STEWRDESS | CANADIAN
Gaylaine, was born and raised in the metropolitan city of Toronto, Canada. At an early age, she discovered her love of travel as her large family would take road trips every summer; her highlight being Highway 101, touring down the West Coast of the USA. Having a love for the outdoors, Gaylaine enjoys skiing, kayaking and hiking. She is bilingual, speaking English and Cantonese. She worked as a lifeguard throughout high school and studied, Psychology and Anthropology in university. Longing for a change of scenery, Gaylaine moved to Antigua in 2013, where she attended medical school. Enticed by the surrounding waters and variety of yachts anchored in English Harbor, she decided to transition into the yachting industry where she has been able to explore more of the world.

JANINE DAVIDSON | THIRD STEWARDESS | BRITISH
Janine was born and raised in Cambridgeshire in the United Kingdom. At the young age of 18, once she had graduated from school, Janine pursued her love of travel and backpacked around Asia for over 6 months. Janine then settled back in the United Kingdom in West Hempstead where she worked as a housekeeper, this job proved as valuable experience that she brought with her when she joined the Yachting Industry just over 2 years ago. Janine enjoys meeting new people, being outdoors and hiking and looks forward to ensuring your stay on Broadwater is a memorable one.

ANDREA BIO JIMENEZ | FORTH STEWARDESS | MEXICAN
Andrea is from the West Coast of Mexico in a little town called Ensenada. Her Family made her an adventurer and fueled her hunger to see more of the world with their continuous travels around the world. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in architecture and after working three years in construction, she came across the yachting industry. She decided to give it a try using her hard work, her care for others and her enthusiasm for adventure. She enjoys ballet, fitness, off-road racing among others. She looks forward to welcoming you onboard Broadwater and showing you a wonderful experience.

SAM MCGETTIGAN | BOSUN | NEW ZEALANDER
Sam was born and raised in Napier on the East Coast of New Zealand. Sam grew up playing a lot of sports, predominantly rugby and surfing. He studied for 4 years at Victoria University and came out with Bachelor of Tourism Management and A Bachelor of Commerce Majoring in Marketing. Soon after Sam decided to join yachting and has been in the yachting industry for almost 4years and has enjoyed every minute of it and looks forward to welcoming guests onboard Broadwater. Sam loves all things outdoors and on the ocean. His favorite hobbies include surfing, traveling, playing the guitar, hiking, diving and fishing.

MATT BURKITT | DECKHAND | AUSTRALIAN
Matt was born and raised in the sunny Gold Coast, Australia. Living along the coast, he has spent most of his life around the oceans and beaches raising a passion for diving, water sports, traveling and health and fitness. Eager to travel and continue being surrounded by the ocean, Matt decided at the young age of 19 to pursue his career in the Yachting Industry where he has gained over 3 years’ experience thus far. Matt hopes to further his yachting studies and experiences to create a successful, long term career in the industry. Matt is excited to be a part of the Broadwater Crew and ensure that all guests onboard have the best vacation experience.

JASCHA SANDLES | DECKHAND | AUSTRALIAN
Born and raised minutes from the coast of Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Jascha developed a deep connection to the ocean spending as much time in and around it. Surfing, swimming, Sailing and exploring the vast coastlines have created a real passion for travel and adventure having explored many corners of the earth. Naturally yachting caught his attention as a means to continue that lifestyle while simultaneously creating a career. Jascha is passionate about photography and videography and hopes to capture moments and experiences onboard Broadwater to share with and create memories with you. Jascha is eager and excited to be part of the team and to welcome you on this adventure with us!
