Captain: Kevin Williams

Kevin and Taylor are accomplished sailors, with an adventurous spirit, and a professional service background, which they will deliver on every charter! After meeting on separate day charter boats in 2016, Kevin and Taylor’s love for sailing and being on the ocean brought them together. Since then, they have traveled halfway around the world together, meeting new people and learning about different cultures, bringing back, unique experiences for their charter guests. With their eye-opening stories, ultimate adventures, and additionally, having an end goal of sailing the world, you are sure to be intrigued from the start. They are extremely detail oriented, personable, professional, and will make anyone’s time on the water with them, wanting more!

Captain Kevin, grew up in Michigan with his family in the boating industry and therefor found his passion early on and at the age of 14 he had his first job at a marina, quickly, learning the ins and outs of the boating world. Studying civil engineering, at Western Michigan University, he could never fully pull himself away from the water which led him to The Virgin Islands. Being a 100 ton Master Captain with Leadership and Safety certificates, Kevin exemplifies all the qualities you want and expect in a competent captain.

In addition to sailing, he is an avid fan of fishing, water sports, food, and adventure, he is sure to make your vacation experience, on the water, extremely memorable.

Born and raised on the island of St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, chef/mate Taylor is a local through and through. Her family established one of the first day sail charter companies on the island, which helped mold her passion and establish a knowledge for boats, the ocean, and customer service. What started with just working weekends as a child, slowly grew into a full- time position and then eventually partner in running the company with her mother until the company’s sale.

From local cuisine, island history, customer experience, event planning, & local dos & don’ts, Taylor has you covered. Creating a fun, once in a life time experience is her goal from start to finish. While in college, Taylor studied nutrition and began teaching herself the values of different food sources, and is now a skilled gluten free/dairy free cook and baker. Her favorite dishes to prepare go back to her Caribbean roots, with a variety of seafood and vegetable options. To accommodate her guests food preferences, Taylor communicates pre-charter to assure a menu everyone will enjoy.

CREW AS OF MARCH 31ST

Adam Schuemaker grew up on Kentucky Lake with his family, which is where he fell in love with the water and boats. After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University in 2013, he moved to the Virgin Islands. This is when he knew he had found his calling.

He has crewed and worked on all types of boats during his time in the Virgin Islands as well as mastering free diving, spear fishing. He loves all aspects of being in, on and under the water. With these skills Adam offers "Sea to Table" options bringing fresh caught dinner to the table.

Adam has his USCG 100 GT Master Captain license and has logged over 1000 miles sailing and boating around the Virgin Islands. He genuinely loves being on the water and giving his guests an experience of a lifetime. This is Adams third year as a captain in the Virgin Islands and he loves sharing his secret spots with his guests as well as showing them all the local flavor the US and British Virgin Islands has to offer.

Emily Romer gained her ‘sea legs’ growing up in St. Augustine Fl. Living beside the ocean inspired her love for the water and encouraged her to excel as a competitive swimmer and recreational surfer. During her early years, she traveled to the Keys regularly with her family on lobstering trips, molding her passion for fresh seafood and a love to be out on the water.

She began her career in the hospitality industry in high school. Emily eventually moved to South Florida where she took nutrition classes and learned the art of bartending. It was during that time, she developed her desire for cooking and creating healthy dishes without compromising flavor.

It was Emily’s love of being on the water that eventually led her to pack her bags and move to St.Thomas 5 years ago. The Virgin Islands are where she fell in love with snorkeling, Caribbean cuisine and fostered her interest in photography. She is excited to share these passions with her guests to ensure memories that last a lifetime!

GUEST REVIEWS FOR ADAM AND EMILY

February, 2019

I am writing to tell you about our wonderful recent vacation with Adam and Emily. From the moment we boarded Adam’s skill as a captain was evident. He always ensured our safety. He confidently dealt with any issues while maintaining a calm and friendly air.

As for Emily, I don’t have any words that would due justice to describe her warmth and genuine joy in being our host. She is a master chef and we have never eaten so well for each meal all those days in a row. We were amazed at the magic she performed in that tiny kitchen.

We are so grateful to them for being our hosts. They made our vacation infinitely more enjoyable. I would recommend them to anyone!! They are definitely the A team!!!

February, 2019

I wanted to follow up and let you all know how thrilled we were with our vacation in St Thomas. It truly was the best vacation ever! The boat, the snorkeling, the water, the sights, the beaches, the sunsets, the full moon, the rainbows, the drinks, the food... all were truly incredible.... but we unanimously agreed that the best part of the vacation was Emily and Adam! Emily’s cooking was AH-MAZ-ING! Honestly, all of us were spellbound every time she put plates in front of us (and we are a group of foodies who eat out all the time)! Adam took care of us and the boat like a champ. The two of them were quite the team. We enjoyed every minute with them.
