Captain: Dimitris Kotrotsos

The Crew:

Rini's crew consists of 6 members and the captain, who have been brought together for their "can do" attitude and their genuine enthusiasm for ensuring that their guests have a memorable experience on board. Each member of the crew has completed all necessary safety training and is fluent in English. They are dedicated to their responsibilities, and safety awareness always comes first but their team spirit guarantees an exciting and harmonious atmosphere. The crew of the luxury m/y Rini is looking forward to welcome you on board and offer you a lifetime experience at highest standards!


CAPTAIN - DIMITRIS KOTROTSOS
Captain Dimitris was born on the 15th of June 1983. He graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and has more than 13 years’ experience both in private and charter yachts. His nautical skills are combined with a very good engineer knowledge which with his great deal of experience on board makes him the ideal captain for the yacht. Captain Dimitris loves the sea so he is the ideal person to introduce you to the art of water sports and scuba diving. He has travelled all around Greece – the Aegean and Ionian Sea are his valuable assets. He is calm, focused and dedicated to his job because being a captain was all he ever dreamed of!

CHIEF ENGINEER – DIMITRIS KARAKIULAFIS
Dimitris was born on the 30th of August 1967. He graduated from the Piraeus National Marine Academy for Engine Officers. Since 1997 until today, he has worked as Chief Engineer onboard private and charter yachts. He always makes sure to enrich his knowledge, and learn new things every day. Dimitris has a friendly personality and a great sense of humor!

CHEF - KONSTANTINOS MARTIS
Konstantinos was born on the 7th of February 1977. He successfully graduated from the Swiss Alpine Center, based in Athens, studying Hotel and Tourism Management. For over 15 years he extended his expertise in Mediterranean cuisine. His impressive resume includes chef position in 5* hotels and luxury dining restaurants in Greece and abroad as well. Konstantinos is a creative and adaptable chef always trying to present delightful dishes to Rini's guests. In his spare time, he enjoys all kinds of water sports and he likes to visit archaeological sites around Greece. He usually relaxes while fishing!

BOSUN - CHRISTOS KOTROTSOS
Christos was born on the 30th of September 1985. He has received a variety of training certifications that strengthen his duty. He is well-experienced, and has been onboard private and charter yachts for the las ten years. Christos is a hard-working member of our team and is ready to confront any kind of situation onboard. As a classic seaman he enjoys fishing, sailing and having fun with water sports.


DECKHAND - JOHN ROUVALIS
John was born on the 30th of June 1994. He studied Mechanical Engineer at The Piraeus University of Applied Sciences. Since then he has been working as a Deckhand onboard private and charter yachts. He is a hard-working, dedicated and always happy to assist his guests!

CHIEF STEWARDESS - SOTIRIA VAMVAKA
Sotiria was born on the 5th of May 1990. She studied to become a Beautician and then furthered her studies in nursing. Her love for traveling and the sea brought her onboard luxury yachts, where she has been since 2014. Sotiria loves to be onboard, taking special care of her guests, and was promoted to Chief Stewardess in a very short period. She is passionate about her duties, organized and very responsible. Sotiria is kind, polite and caring which makes her a very important asset to the team. On her free time, she loves playing volleyball and spending creative time with children.

STEWARDESS – KATERINA ARVANITI
Katerina was born on the 2nd February 1989 at Germany. She studied Pharmacist Technical of Cosmetics at the IEK School of Sivitanides, but also decided to follow her dreams of travel. Katerina spent many years as a hostess in five-star restaurants and hotels, and holds a WSPC Certification, an expert in wines and spirits! She is a new addition to the team, and looks forward to a successful season ahead!
