Captain: David Risch

Captain David Risch is an energetic host who welcomes guests aboard with a smile and bids them farewell with fond memories and looking forward to their next sailing holiday.

David was born and raised on Buzzards Bay in Massachusetts and spent his childhood cruising the coastal waters of New England with his father. David quickly cultivated a love for the sea - whether sailing dinghies on the Bay or standing a night watch offshore in a nor'easter, he could always be found with a smile on his face and the calm manner born of genuine seamanship.

With nearly 2 decades of sailing, David also has several years of experience in the hospitality industry. From bartender to barista to sous chef, Davids experience spans from a chic French cafes in Manhattan to a small town yacht club. Easily adapting to any group or setting David loves to meet new people.

While a finance major at Southern New Hampshire University David obtained his RYA Yachtmasters 200-ton Offshore license. Since then his professional yachting career includes several classic sailing yachts and several modern classics - ranging in size from 12 meters to 44 meters. In his leisure time David likes to surf, snowboard, and work on cars.

A genial host and capable captain, David's goal is to assure that guests on board JUPITER enjoy a care free and relaxing yacht charter experience!

JUPITER sails with captain plus 2 crew; if guests total 6-8 yacht adds a 3rd crew for $150 daily.
