Crew

Crew Information

Captain: Scott Lockwood

Captain Scott Lockwood
Captain Scott has had a rather colorful past, and not that of your usual yacht Captain. Originally from Connecticut and raised there and in Northeast Florida he did grow up on and around the water from fishing in Long Island Sound with his Grandfather to sailing, waterskiing, and canoeing in the lakes around his boyhood homes. Captain Scott’s various careers included construction (held a Residential Contractors License in Florida); welder (multiple certifications for the construction of off-shore supply vessels); automotive service technician; Pro Rodeo cowboy (10 years of riding bulls and bareback broncs); stuntman, actor, model (member of the Screen Actors Guild); and what all starving actors do, bartender. Scott took up SCUBA diving in 1991 and progressed quickly to full cave diver and tri-mix diver certifications in 1993; in 1997 he became a technical diving instructor with the International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers. Scott worked on a reshoot of all the training materials for NAUI and was featured from the mid to late 1990’s in all of their training manuals and videos. Captain Scott has also done extensive deep cave penetrations and deep mixed gas diving, having made two trips to the legendary wreck of the Andrea Doria. Scott’s career as a boat Captain began in 1991 while working on commercial dive boats, and then in the late 90’s as a tow boat Captain and salvage diver. Scott’s yachting pedigree comes from his time aboard the motor yachts Gallant Lady, one of the world’s premier yachting programs. Captain Scott has now been running boats for over 25 years and currently holds a 3000 ton masters license and has extensive cruising experience in the Caribbean, Bahamas, Florida, Eastern US rivers, as well as both Eastern and Western Mediterranean, English Chanel, West coast of Europe and trans-Atlantic crossing.

Chef Spencer Wright
Chef Spencer Wright has over three decades of culinary experience and nearly twenty of those years have been aboard luxury yachts. He has been the executive chef of The Dove restaurant in the British Virgin Islands and executive chef of Childress Vineyards in Lexington, North Carolina. Spencer’s cuisine has been in Caribbean Travel and Life and Gourmet magazines. He has an artistic approach to food and an eye for detail. Playful, surprising and unconventional flavor combinations are a hallmark of his and all dietary preferences can be graciously accommodated. Chef Spencer is at home on the ocean and looks forward to entertaining you!

Chief Stewardess Jocelyn Piccinetti
Originally from Maryland and growing up on the Equestrian Circuit, Jocelyn has called Palm Beach home for more than half her life. Prior to yachting, Jocelyn worked with her mother for 15 years running their high end, mobile coffee and espresso bars that specialized in prestigious events all over the U.S. She also owned and operated an upscale clothing boutique for 5 years in the Hamptons. 5 years ago, Jocelyn traded land for water by joining yachting to continue her passion for hospitality and at the same time fulfill her love for culture and travel. Jocelyn's professionalism, charm, and concern for guest satisfaction is genuinely felt by each and every guest.

Second Stewardess Stephanie Leigh Bell
Stephanie joins us all the way from Australia. She was born in the small country town of Moree, New South Wales, but grew up in the city of Brisbane, Queensland. After graduating from the University of Queensland in 2012 she moved to London, England for two years where she worked as an Au Pair for two young children. During those two years her love for traveling grew, so she made the move to yachting in 2016. Steff began her career in the French Riviera and has since had the pleasure of living and working on yachts in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Bahamas and East Coast USA. Now with two years industry experience, she is thrilled to be a part of the JEDI crew. She enjoys photography, films and food, as well as spending quality time with friends. She looks forward to exploring more of the world and making a great career in the industry.

Engineer Jean-Francois “Jeff” Bernard
Jean-Francois hails from Quebec, but presently calls New Brunswick “home” as he lives on a large farm there when not onboard a yacht. He goes by “Jeff” and has been a yacht engineer for 10 years now; previously being an aircraft mechanic and experimental aircraft builder. Jeff enjoys golfing, traveling, motorcycles and relaxing at his farmhouse back in Canada during his time off.

First Mate Zachary Frey
Zachary Frey is a former Dive guide and PADI certified rescue diver turned Yachtsman who has spent the last 25 years both in and under the oceans depths. Raised with a fishing rod in his hands he has a niche for finding the best fishing, diving and spearfishing spots, and showing his adventurous spirit, when it comes to safety you are in the best hands he has years of hands on experience. He has spent the last four years exploring the islands in the Bahamas and meanwhile has learned where to swim with the pigs, feed Tiger sharks, Great Hammerhead sharks and Green Sea Turtles , or one of his personal favorites snorkeling and playing with the wild Atlantic Spotted Dolphins . There are endless possibilities, so we hope you’ll join us and look forward to a trip you, your family and friends will never forget.

Deckhand Zack Ioannides
Zack Ioannides was born and raised in Greece and comes from a village by the sea with a population of about 1000. At 18 he came to the United States and got a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics with a minor in kinesiology. While he was pursuing his degree, he worked multiple jobs such as retail associate at a supplement store, personal trainer, valet driver, delivery driver, security for university dances, soccer referee, server, and a few others (some at the same time). Zack returned to Greece, served in the Greek army and was deployed to Cyprus for a few months. He also lived a year in England where he got his master’s degree in sport and exercise nutrition. Zack enjoys swimming, fishing, free diving, cliff diving, snowboarding, lifting weights, and BMWs from the 80’s. Zack recently returned to the United States, to pursue a career in the yachting industry and to be close to the sea. He’s easy going, open to challenges and new experiences, hard-working and an integral part of our deck crew.
