Captain: Dimitris Kostaras
Dimitris Kostaras (Captain)
Captain Dimitris has been a captain since 2010 and will hold his Captain Class B’ Diploma by the end of 2010. He holds Certificates for Ship Security Officer, General Operator GMDSS, Radar ARPA, Advance Fire Fighting, Proficiency in Medical First Aid & Medical Care on Board, Personnel Survival Techniques and speedboat's license.. He is also qualified in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats, Advance Tanker Safety, RO-RO & Passenger Ship Safety, Crowd Management, Hazardous Materials, Bridge Team Management, ISM Training and Risk Assessment.Dimitris commenced his service at sea in 1997 as Apprentice Officer at motor tanker and has worked as Chief Officer on cruise ships from 2006 to 2010 . He leads an experienced crew of 4 and has broad knowledge of the Greek islands, Turkish coasts, East and West Med. He is young, vibrant and will always go the extra mile to please the charter guests. He loves organising great parties onboard!
Rinas Antonis (Chef)
Antonis has studied at the Institute of Hotel & Tourism Studies, Le Monde and after working in various restaurants he decided to enter the yachting industry in 2009,
on board a commercial Motor Yacht during summer and during winter season he was working as a Chef at the owner's hotel. Since then, he has offered his services on various commercial yachts. Apart from his exceptional culinary skills, he also pays attention to the details, is flexible with the various clients' preferences and has great organizational skills. Clients adore his Mediterranean dishes, but he is also keen on preparing plates with international influences. Antonis speaks English and Greek.
Gkioulaki Despoina (Stewardess)
Despoina was born in 1994 and is a Greek national. She speaks English fluently and she is very passionate with sea because of her family tradition. She is very energetic, cheerful and responsible. She was very happy for joining the yachting industry last year, so she decided to continue as well. She has a background in medical and biological laboratories which gives her the ability to cope with a variety of medical conditions that insures the safety on the boat. Her passion for her job, her high sense of hospitality and service make the world of “Iris” go around. She loves dance and gymnastics.
Vladimir Yotov Dimitrov (Deckhand)
Vladimir was born in 1986 in Bulgaria. Among others, Vladimir holds a certificate in Engineering, STCW-95 Basic Safety training & Ro-RO Passenger Ships, a certificate of competency skipper of seagoing vessel up to 40GT. After gaining experience on freight vessels he joined the yachting industry in 2010 and since then he has worked as a deckhand both on M/Y & S/Y. Vladimir speaks English, Greek and Russian. In his free time Vladimir enjoys fishing and painting.
