Yacht Description

Icon yacht is a 221.00 ft long motor yacht monohull and spends the summer in W. Med -Naples/Sicily, W. Med -Riviera/Cors/Sard., W. Med - Spain/Balearics, Croatia. It was built by Custom in 2010. A refit was done in 2014. The yacht layout features 7 cabins and accommodates 12 guests. The cabin arrangement is following: 2 king cabins, 2 queen cabins, 1 double cabin, 2 twin cabins.

The motor yacht features 2 x MTU 12V4000 M71 3 x Generator sets Sandfirden Quantum zero speed Stabilisers - cruising and at anchor Watermakers (20,000 litres/day) engines and a generator.

Accommodation

ICON offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms + up to 2 occasional workers with 1 in extra staff cabin (space in all cabins for an extra camp bed if needed).



MAIN DECK:

Owner's duplex suite reached either by the lobby on the main deck or via the study/lounge on the upper deck. The suite has 2 temperate controlled walk in dressing rooms located of the entrance corridor, forward is the main cabin and master en-suite incorporating bath, double sink unit, shower and toilet. Private staircase to the study/lounge on the upper level.

The Study/lounge can either be closed off as part of the master suite or accessible for all the guests. with full blackout blinds this area can also be used as a cinema room. There is direct access both port and starboard sides to the fore-deck.



UPPER DECK:

Guest Double stateroom with en-suite shower room.

Staff cabin with standard size single bed and en-suite shower room.



LOWER DECK - all 4 cabins are convertible double/twin so very flexible layout depending on the make-up of the charter party.

The area comprises approximately 9.75m x 6m and has direct access from the 4 lower guest staterooms.

At sea, ICON has a 512Kbit internet connection (this is adjustable as per request up to 10Mb depending on cost) via VSAT with Fleet 500 connection as a back-up. Internet surfing and email can be used 24 hours. Additional antennas have been installed to prevent any down time due to blockage.
In port, ICON can log on to 3G antennas and WIFI hot spots for high speed internet. Internet is 100% covered in the Caribbean.

CAPTAIN: Jeremy Dean – British

Jez has some 28 years’ experience in the superyacht industry. Having spent eight years on-board M/Y Mosaique (50M), he gained an excellent charter reputation, with fantastic feedback from brokers and clients alike. Having worked previously on other busy yachts such as M/Y Wild Thyme (37m Benetti Classic), M/Y Ilona, M/Y Northern Cross & M/Y Verena V.
Jez’s easygoing, affable personality ensures your clients trip will be one to remember. Jez in his younger days travelled the world extensively both on the water and across land and is now a keen golfer, and an avid lover of off road biking in the North African desert.

Australian born Mark is well used to growing up around the sea having previously worked on Maxi yachts in the Whitsundays, dinghy sailing to national level on 420’s and instructing children to sail as well as becoming a rescue diver.
Mark spent five seasons on-board M/Y Mosaique previously working on the busy Med-based charter yacht M/Y Seven Sins as deckhand.

Growing up in the coastal city of Perth in Western Australia, Daniel grew up sailing and a love for the sea! Since a young age he has competitively raced dinghies also entering multiple national titles across Australia, it was during this time that he decided to turn a hobby into a career.
Daniel enjoys free diving and has also been certified as a diving instructor last year in Asia. In the next five years’ he wants to progress in the yachting career and improve his underwater videography skills

CHIEF ENGINEER: Zelijko Milanovic – Croatian

Chief engineer Zelijko grew up in Split and studied marine engineering at university before obtaining his license, then working on container vessels for 3 years before going back to studying and doing his six months mandatory national service, he then worked on offshore vessels. One day he had a phone call which gave him the opportunity to work on M/Y ICON and he has never looked back. Zelijko likes to travel back to Split whenever possible to spend time with his family.

2ND ENGINEER: Ivan Antonic – Croatian

Ivan was raised in Rijeka, Croatia, he started his career as a waiter aboard tourist boats, then joined a cruise-ship company as an engineering cadet. After working on cargo vessels for 8 years he decided to join the world of luxury yachting on-board M/Y ICON. Ivan loves basketball, water polo, hiking and cycling.

Originally from Split, Croatia, Andrej has completed a host of Electrical Engineering and Electronics related studies and has accrued almost 10 years’ experience in this field onboard cruise liners. He joined the super yacht industry on M/Y ICON in October 2017 and
understandably, has never looked back! Andrej is also an experienced dive instructor and his interests and hobbies include photography and graphic design.

George started his yachting career on board M/Y Mosaique and prior to this spent one year at the Superyacht Cadetship UKSA where he gained a clear understanding of the superyacht industry.
George was selected for an Oxford Football Scholarship and played for professional academies. He also did a six weeks’ trial for Chelsea Football Club, and was then offered a scholarship at Reading Academy but chose the Superyacht Cadetship at UKSA to pursue a career at sea.
George enjoys water skiing, wake-boarding and rugby.

LEAD DECKHAND: Joshua Barton - British

After finishing University in 2016 Josh started his career working in events, and later went onto the Royal Marines Young Officer Selection. Deciding that yachting was really his career of choice in early 2018 he started day working on yachts which led to him joining M/Y ICON.
Describing himself as an outgoing and ambitious individual with a strong work ethic, and hungry to enhance his skill set in the industry.
When he’s not busy onboard Josh has a wide range of hobbies such as sailing, skiing, hiking, fitness & health and photography & travel.

DECKHAND: Alick Petit - British

Alick spent the first 8 years of his life in Hong Kong and Singapore before returning to the UK to attend boarding school, it was through this early part of his life that he gained experience of other cultures and living together with people in close environments for long periods of time.
Dipping in and out of the yachting industry since 2010 Alick has now decided that a yachting career is the route to go. During one of his breaks he volunteered to work in Mumbai, India teaching kids life skills through sport.
Prior to joining M/Y ICON Alick was working onboard the 35m Sunseeker SPECTRE of which he was part of the delivery crew from Poole to Alicante.
Alick enjoys team sports in particular football and cricket.

Joshua first started sailing at the age 10 where he developed a love for the water and he decided that his future would lie in yachting. Studying at UKSA where he
gained valuable experience and skills. Joshua spent a season on-board a 27m sailing yacht as sole deckhand and later joined M/Y Mosaique for the 2017 Med season where his position gave him new challenges. Joshua holds a Power Boat Level 2 instructors certificate.

CHEF: Michelle Bonetti – Australian/Swiss

Australian born Michelle is a culinary trained chef well versed in all cuisines, she has worked alongside many Michelin star chefs. Michelle has also completed an intensive sushi training course.
Joining the yachting industry early 2015 she went on to win first place at the 2015 Antigua Boat Show Chefs Competition on board M/Y Zeepard.
Michelle has spent the last two Med seasons on the 50m M/Y Mosaique ‘wowing’ guests with her culinary expertise.
Prior to joining the yachting industry Michelle was ‘Chef de Partie’ at Print Hall one of Western Australia’s best restaurants.
Michelle’s objective is to satisfy culinary desires, embrace local produce, and provide guests with the highest level of cuisine.
Michelle has a diploma of business and photography.

SOUS CHEF: Mieke Bosman – South African

Mieke was introduced to yachting in 2016 when she accepted a temp stewardess position on-board M/Y Lady Katherine V (61m), deciding that this industry was for her and she moved on as stewardess to M/Y Laurel (74m). Miekes last two positions have been as stewardess/crew cook which she has thoroughly enjoyed. Mieke moved to M/Y ICON and is enjoying the challenges that the position of Sous Chef brings.
Prior to yachting Mieke worked at the high-end restaurant Delaire Graff Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, she also has experience in nannying.
When not busy in the galley Mieke enjoys hiking, running and the outdoors.

Michaela took a two-year break from yachting to have her first baby, prior to this she had eight successful seasons on M/Y Mosaique and she is now really happy to be back with Captain Jez and the core crew from Mosaique on M/Y Icon!
In addition to her considerable experience in hospitality and yachting, Mihaela is a qualified pharmacist, an expert in mixing cocktails and silver service. Along with her experience, her warm and friendly nature makes her the perfect hostess onboard, always on hand to anticipate guests’ requirements.
Mihaela loves to travel, read and is a very good salsa dancer in her spare time.

Lucie had a memorable three seasons onboard M/Y Mosaique, which has drawn her to join M/Y Icon with Captain Jez and the other core crew members. Originally from Corsica, Lucie brings with her a healthy service background, having previously worked in some of the UK’s well-respected boutique hotels. During her two-year break from yachting, she has enjoyed being on stage as a background vocal and recorded in some reputed American recording studios as well as organizing concerts. Lucie also has a high interest in personal development and has experience in bodywork. Her altruistic personality makes her pay close attention to guests’ enjoyment. As a wine lover, she enjoys representing the “French Touch” onboard as well as being the yachts official French translator.

Emilia is a hardworking and experienced stewardess with over 10 years of experience in hospitality working in various different settings and running her own business. She has developed a wide range of skills and knowledge, including wine, cigars, coffee, event planning, and teaching yoga.
Emilia loves a challenge and thrives under pressure, all while providing an excellent service with a smile. Her interests include yoga, travelling, photography, design, hiking and volleyball.

Fred is new to the yachting industry and ready to embrace this new venture! In her hometown of Solna in Sweden, Fred accumulated a varied work background that initially fitted around her studies and then developed into full time occupations. Hospitality, social media management, customer service agent and Au pair were all things Fred experimented before deciding that yachting would satisfy her two biggest passions travel and the sea.
Fred loves to exercise, either in the gym or outdoors, and as she played football for over 11 years – she is always keen for a “kick around”

Hailing from Split in Croatia, most of Patricija’s working experience started with seasonal jobs in tourism while she was studying management at college. It was through her
experiences gained in various bars and high-end hotels that she was introduced to the yachting industry when she was hired on- board MY Antelope III (43M) during a refit period in Croatia. From that point, she was hooked and was determined to take the opportunities further. An easy going, quick learner, who thrives on working in a close environment, Paticija invests effort and energy into all she does. In her spare time, Patricija enjoys, photography, time with young children, and hiking. She also loves pets!

Katya qualified as a psychologist in her home town of Odessa, Ukraine, but she decided on a career at sea and now she now has several years’ experience under her belt having previously worked on several cruise liners and more recently as 2nd Stewardess on the charter yacht M/Y Aset. Katya also spent 5 years on the hugely successful charter yacht Mosaique.
With her sociable and communicative personality and always with smile on her face she is ready to welcome you on-board M/Y Icon.
In her spare time Katya likes reading and travelling.
