Captain: Michalis Tsampas

Michalis Tsampas - Captain (Greek)
Captain Michalis graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy and in a really short time, he received all the necessary qualifications which make him today a very capable Captain. He has worked on tankers for several years and after this he made the decision to enter the area of yachting. He has worked as a Chief Officer on M/Y Ouranos since 2013 and in the construction of the new building M/Y Ouranos and M/Y Ouranos 2 where he gain a great experience. Before joining M/Y Cosmos I he served onboard M/Y Obsesion for two years. He is pleasant and energetic. Working closely with his guests and understanding their wishes, he can plan exclusive experiences and organize all types of activities on board. He knows all the exclusive places of the Mediterranean Sea and he guarantees that your journey will be unforgettable, whether your desire is to visit trendy luxury resorts or to seek out the most secluded and unique ports of call. His free time he enjoys all water sports and snowboarding and he speaks English.

Zannis Kallimasias - Chief Engineer (Greek)
Zannis was born in 1979 in Chios island. He holds a A’ Class Engineer Certificate and in the beginning of his career served on tankers and bulk carriers and then on cruise ships for 15 years going on voyages all around the world. Before joining Cosmos I he was a relief chief engineer on S/Y Maltese Falcon. He is very hard working and always ready to lend a hand. He has a pleasant and responsible personality, and ensures that every system works and is maintained to the highest standard for the safety of all guests. Zannis speaks fluent English and basic Spanish. In his free time he enjoys swimming and music.

Christos Barakis - Chef (Greek)
Christos was born in 1966 in Greece. After completing his studies at School of Tourism professionals, Chef Christos got his culinary start at Byzantino Restaurant of Hilton Hotel under the tutelage of head chef Nikolaos Katsariotis. There he received an authentic Greek and Mediterranean training at this renowned Athenian restaurant. Christos entered the yachting industry in 1994 and since then he has offered his dedicated services on numerous yachts such as M/Y SAHAB, M/Y ELMAYA, M/Y KENTAVROS, M/Y RITAKI, M/Y JAMEEL and M/Y ALEXANDER. During his 23 year career he has also attended numerous gastronomy seminars such as tasting, molecular gastronomy, wine seminars and many more. He is well versed in numerous styles of cuisine including Mediterranean which is his great passion. He loves preparing homemade bread, marmalades and all the small delicacies that give the final touch to his exceptional and aesthetical perfect dishes. Chef Christos ensures that dining onboard M/Y Cosmos I will be an unforgettable experience.

Konstantina Karga – Stewardess (Greek)
Konstantina was born in 1981 in Athens. She has a diploma in accounting and in culinary arts. She started her career at customer service at Hotel Astir palace and after that offered her services at various restaurants and motor yachts. Before joining Cosmos I she was on board M/Y Zehra, M/Y Elena, M/Y Magix and M/Y Harmonya. She offers silver service to all guests onboard M/Y Cosmos I, ensuring that everyone has an enjoyable and comfortable time. She has great communication skills and positive attitude, bringing always a friendly smile. Her hobbies are volunteering, basketball and cooking. She speaks English.

Spiros Ilias – Stewart /Deckhand (Greek-New Zealand)
Spiros was born in 1980 in Auckland, New Zealand and raised in Brisbane, Australia.
He started his career in the music industry and being half Greek he always wanted to visit Greece and explore this part of the world. After deciding to settle in Athens he spent 10 years in hospitality as a bar and restaurant manager. His active personality and love for the sea lead him in joining Cosmos I and immediately became a valuable crew member. Spiros is a great team player, friendly and prompt with excellent social skills. He speaks English and Greek and his hobbies are music, travelling and crafts.


Mandy Nobleza - Deck Hand (Philipino)
Mandy has been working in the yachting industry for the past 10 years in various deckhand positions. He is hardworking and very careful with the safety of the yacht. Mandy has a positive attitude and is always happy to help out all departments with various tasks. He speaks English, Greek and Filipino.
