Crew
Crew Information
Captain: Ted Egan
Capt. Ted grew up in chilly Chicago, on the blustery shores of Lake Michigan, but left for the sunny climes of South Florida for school. This was followed by 25 years in the heart of American viticulture, the Napa Valley. There, Ted was involved in making and marketing wine worldwide. Eventually fate lead Ted to the sailing capital of Newport, and he has since pursued his love of yachting and the water. The BVI fell onto Ted's navigational chart 4 years ago and he has been providing a bespoke experience to his charter guests ever since. His intimate knowledge of the islands allows for a one of a kind island adventure.
Summer seasons will see Capt. Ted returning Campai to the waters of New England, while in the Winters Ted and Campai return to the sunny Caribbean.
Leslie was born and raised in Switzerland. After her studies of applied linguistics in Zurich, she was employed as an interpreter in the region of Winterthur. An avid, sports-minded traveller, she used her summer holidays to improve her sailing skills. As her passion for sailing grew, she went to sea on a regular basis. Her skill and aptitude for languages enabled her to work on boats in several countries. Outgoing and enthusiastic, she easily interacted with people wherever she went, welcoming people in their mother tongue. A few years ago, Leslie arrived in the Caribbean, where she worked as a chef, primarily for families on weekly charters. Her passion for cooking was inspired by the culinary skills of her grandmother, who prepared delicious meals for memorable family dinners.
Leslie takes great pleasure in preparing tasty food to put on the table for people to share and enjoy.
