Captain: Mehmet Dokuzoglu
Captain Mehmet DOKUZOGLU
Mehmet was born and raised in the yachting hub of Marmaris, and it was here
that he graduated from the local highschools English Language Program in 1998,
beginning his career with an international company in 1999. His English speaking
skills were greatly enhanced during the period of his emplaoyment with this company,
where his main duties were the skippering and maintaining of sailing yachts.
Following in his fathers footprints, Mehmet is a keen yachtsman and has attained his
Yachtmasters Unlimited Licence. He holds an Advanced Divers certificate and is a
GMDSS General operator. He enjoys cooking, listening to music, sailing and reading.
Engineer Abuzer AKKUŞ
Abuzer is a Technical College graduate. He has been working as an engineer on
yachts for close to four years. He started his career as a car mechanic and served in
this position for seven years, before opting to spend time on the water, travel and see
new horizons . As a jack-of-all-trades, there is nothing that Abuzer cannot repair,
electric and electronic devices included.
Chef Ahmet SAHAN
Ahmet has been working as a chef since 1995 and had worked in High Quality
Alacarte Restaurants of Marmaris for 14 years. Than he decided to exhibit his
delicious dishes to yachting world. He had got his necessary certificates and served
on larger vessels for 2 years prior to joining the team of S/Y BLUE EYES this year.
Ahmet offers a special selection of mouthwatering dishes from French, Italian Indian
and Turkish cuisine. He is able to converse quite well in English, and as such, will
happily discuss with his guests the secrets to preparing traditional Turkish dishes
and other well-known regional favourites.
Deckhand Eren Ozer
Eren is from, splendid piece of Turkey, Datca. He has been working as
deckhand aboard yachts for the past six years and dreams that some day soon, he
will be captain at the helm of his own yacht. As deckhand, he is happy to display his
woodworking and painting skills and his position includes keeping S/Y BLUE EYES
looking polished and ship-shape. Erens interests include swimming and diving.
Deckhand etin GLTAŞ
etin is 32 years old and has a diverse range of assistant engineering talents.
Although his second season in yachting businness, he proved himself with his calm
and focused personality. He loves being on Blue Eyes and sail with her.
Chief Stewardess Oznur OZDOGAN
Oznur has been working on yachts and hotels, as chief stewardess, for 3 years.
She also studies economy in University of Mugla. Her calm and self controlling
charcter, gives her a good public relations talent and the ability to provide excellent
customer service. She likes reading, swimming and sailing.
Stewardess Arzum MERCAN
Arzum newly joined the crew of S/Y BLUE EYE. She was born in unique part of
Southwest coast of Turkey, called Datca. She studies Environmental Enginnering at
Namik Kemal University in Tekirdag. She is delighted to have set sail on what she
regards to be a more challanging and adventureous life on the sea. Arzum speaks
fair English and her friendly, energetic demeanour contributes volumes to the warmth
and congeniality of the atmosphere aboard S/Y BLUE EYES.
