Crew Information
Captain: Bryan Grant
Captain - Bryan Grant
Born and raised around the waters of South Florida’s Atlantic coast Capt. Bryan Grant spent his youth on water boating with family and friends. He took his first command at the age of 15 when his father gave him a 20 foot center console for his 15th birthday. After that if he was not in school he was on the water either fishing the local waters of Stuart Florida or cruising around with friends. Working through high school cleaning and helping maintain the local charter sport fishing fleet he knew then he wanted to pursue a career at sea. He joined the US Navy at the age of 18 and served five years active duty as a Mechanic and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After his service he attended Chapman School of Seamanship and graduated valedictorian. Working his way up the hawspipe as a mate/engineer on yachts up to 170 feet led to his first Captains position nearly 10 years ago. Since then Captain Bryan has gained experience all over the world from the Mediterranean to Alaska always keeping safety a top priority. However the shallow crystal clear waters of the Bahamas and his stomping grounds of South Florida always drew him back. Sharing his knowledge of the waters of South Florida, the keys, and the Bahamas is something he really enjoys, especially for first timers.
Mate - Corbin A. Bruton
Corbin grew up in Southport North Carolina at the mouth of the Cape Fear River. Southport borders the Intercostal Waterway so hopping on boats and taking voyages to anywhere for him was always at hand even the shrimp boats.
Corbin served onboard US Navy submarines during his 9-year enlistment in the Navy. As an engineer he maintained ships systems, gave emergency backup power to the nuclear reactor and sat at the helm when shooting torpedoes or missiles. He never missed a target. He made 2 transatlantic deployments and 1 South American deployment, UNDERWATER! Since the Navy he has been successful in keeping his boats above the water.
Corbin attended Maritime Professional Training in Ft. Lauderdale post Navy career to continue his legacy at sea. He currently holds a 100-ton masters license and has an array of specialized certifications, like engineering, Bartending and diving.
As a SCUBA Dive master and over 1000 dives he enjoys collecting megalodon teeth from his native waters of North Carolina. With spearfishing added as a bonus the grouper, cobia and hog snapper never stand a chance. But, while on land for brief periods he does enjoy mountain biking, grilling, camping, hunting, beach activities, growing native fruits and travelling on a plane to places unreachable by yachts, extensively.
Corbin is personable, friendly and easily approachable. He can be of any assistance throughout the entire yacht. Feel free to come to him to handle anything that may arise while you are onboard.
