I visited Astoria at the Poros yacht show and the standout for me was easily the chef, Nikola Statev. He’s got serious experience—fine dining background in Bulgaria and Germany, river cruises, and now fully in his element onboard. Big passion for seafood and fresh local ingredients, and he’s the kind of chef who actually loves tailoring menus—whether that means vegan, keto, or food allergy adjustments.
The yacht itself has a crisp, clean feel with a cohesive design—red theme, sailing-themed art, and very put-together. The crew prefers the Saronic Gulf and enjoy taking guests to more low-key, local spots away from the crowds. Smooth 8-knot cruising, super comfortable.

S/Y ASTORIA has been carefully designed to create spaces that cater from the most lively social gathering to the most relaxing moments of solitude. Its expansive 27,5m2 cockpit, decadent foredeck with modular sunbathing stations, its 30m2 flybridge, and its generous cabins all provide opportunities to engage or reflect in dynamic or more peaceful settings. Inspiring social unity with its generous and refined living areas, with her galley up layout her large main saloon area with access both to the foredeck and aft deck is the perfect yacht.

S/Y ASTORIA embodies the French way of life that celebrates the philosophy of carpe diem. She has a large master cabin, four queen bed cabins all with private bathrooms.

Introduced by DMA Yachting, the majestic charter yacht ASTORIA is a 61 ft sailing catamaran. The highlights of ASTORIA are her absolute comfort and interconnection with the sea. ASTORIA spends the summer and winter season in Greece. She was delivered by the renowned boatbuilder Fountaine Pajot in 2021. The ingenious yacht layout features 5 generous cabins and easily accommodates a maximum of 10 guests.

ASTORIA is classified primarily as a sailing catamaran. The the heart of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is generous, with a prominent dining and seating area and usually it is where you, as a charter guest, spend most of your time. The immersive cabins are connected by stairs to the main saloon - roomy, comfortable and pleasant. The cabins are located in the 2 massive hulls. Multiple portholes add to the feeling of connection with the discovered environment.

The sailboat features 2 x VOLVO PENTA 150hp 17 kW 220V 50HZ ONAN engines and a generator.

Price Terms

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see

Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).

All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.

The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).

For a sailing catamaran like ASTORIA, the expected APA is 20% to 35% of the charter price (€4,980 - €8,715), making the charter cost €29,880 to €33,615. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.

You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).

The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Captain: Alen Gochev
Captain Alen brings 23 years of distinguished experience in worldwide cruising, chartering, and yacht deliveries across Sailing, Motor, and Catamaran yachts. With over 75,000 nautical miles sailed, his expertise spans the waters of Greece, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the Persian Gulf.
He excels in curating bespoke itineraries, planning guest activities, and coordinating exceptional onboard events while maintaining transparent and detailed operational reports. Captain Alen is responsible for all aspects of operations on busy charter yachts, ensuring seamless voyage preparations and route navigation.
Since 2001, Captain Alen has overseen more than 20 yacht deliveries, including iconic routes from France and Slovenia, as well as sailing yachts from Greece to the Caribbean. His most recent role was as captain of the motor yacht in Dubai, managing charters and deliveries between Qatar and Dubai.
Speaking 4 languages, including English, Greek, Russian, and Bulgarian, Captain Alen has made Greece his home since 2001, where he continues to demonstrate excellence in yacht management.

CHEF: Nikola Statev
Nikola was born in 1993 and is from Varna, Bulgaria. He graduated from the University of Economics with a specialty in Industrial Business in 2016. During his schooling, he worked as a Junior Chef in a hotel in Varna, this is where his culinary career took off. After years as a chef in 5* restaurants in both Bulgaria and Germany, he took his skills to boats and began work on River Cruises. With his love of travel and adventure, he was then led into the yachting world. In joining the crew of Astoria, he is excited to be able to create menus and tailor the dishes to his guests. He is passionate about seafood and using fresh, local catches. His fabulous risottos and pasta will delight the palate. To him, cooking is an art and a way of expressing himself. In his time off the yacht, Nikola loves being with his wife and daughter traveling together and meeting new people. He enjoys playing darts and watching football. Nikola is excited to welcome guests onboard Astoria and spoil them with incredible creations!

Deckhand/Stew: Robert Chamasanyan
Robert, hailing from Bulgaria and born in 1997, brings a blend of maritime expertise and sporting prowess to the crew of Astoria. Currently enrolled in the South Bulgarian Maritime Education Center, he is diligently working towards becoming a skipper of sea-going vessels up to 40 GT. Beyond his maritime aspirations, Robert's exceptional talent transcends into the realm of sports, where he holds an impressive record as a nine-time national champion and two-time international champion in boxing. He is kind, disciplined, adaptable and eager to welcome guests on board Astoria this summer! With his dedication, skill, and team spirit, Robert adds both depth and dynamism to the team aboard.
