Captain: Christopher White

Sue White

Sue escaped from her 30 year City lawyer life to travel with her family in Europe in an American RV.  Five years later in 2013 she returned with her family from a world circumnavigation on board Salamander.

Sue has boating experience in countries from Hong Kong to Australia to the UK and Norway as well as extensive Ocean passage making experience.  Always getting great reviews for her own twist on wholesome meals she once received the highest accolade from a Greek Skipper that she would make a "great boat wife". Sue is a fantastic host and with children (who have now grown up) of her own, she enjoys looking after families and smaller groups.

Chris White

Chris is a professional skipper / qualified RYA/MCA Yachtmaster, who has circumnavigated the world on Salamander for three years with his family.

Prior to becoming a skipper Chris enjoyed life as a professional architect in London for nearly 30 years running his own practice. He had been introduced to travelling the world as a teenager in the 70's when his parents lived in Singapore. His parents introduced him to weekend dingy sailing in Chichester at the age of, it is thought, 7 or 8. From then on he went on to enjoy many other exotic adventures including Abu Dhabi to Istanbul on a Motorbike, making contact with only recently discovered primitive tribes in the Sulawesi interior and over 46,000 mile of adventure in an RV!! Chris is a very capable, patient and relaxed captain on board.
