MARI’S LEONARDO

Captain: Steve Barber

Steve holds a 100 Ton USCG Captain's license and holds an ASA Instructors credential and is additionally an ASA Instructor Qualifier. Mari, whom the boat was named after, also is an avid sailor with an ASA certification. Leonardo, the second half of this cats namesake was their big red-haired golden retriever oh, Mari is also a tall red-headed gal!

Steves long sailing history started in Kentucky, then the West coast, where he still owns and sails his Islander 28 sloop. Having delivered boats up and down both the West and East coasts for years, he decided on catamaran sailing and had Maris Leonardo built in France and sailed it from the West coast of France to Annapolis, then onto the Bahamas and finally into the BVI, USVI, and West Indies chain. Steve's charter philosophy is based on the belief that the guest's needs are of the utmost importance and everyday aboard Mari's Leonardo he is committed to not only meeting those needs, but exceeding expectations in every way.



Mari and Steve are both experienced in the service industry. Mari is presently a flight attendant and Steve is a semi-retired entrepreneur of a NW real estate management firm. Both have been sailing for many years and now have realized a new lifestyle where they share the fun of sailing and teaching with others.
